I finally went to a professional and got my hair fixed. I figured since it is (almost) autumn I might as well go dark. I have never been brunette. Why not now?

Nice. You look good as a brunette. I went dark brown once because I thought it would be fun, but decided I like LOTS of blond highlights better. Have fun with the darker color!
